Rooted in the ancient landscapes of the Cederberg mountains, this hand-built vase pays tribute to the region’s deep history and cultural resonance.  Its warm, ochre-red surface echoes the tones of the San (Boesman) rock paintings that adorn the sandstone caves — whispers of a time when the land spoke through pigment and stone.
The form is inspired by traditional African vessel shapes, evoking the practical elegance of the Khoi and San people who once moved through these valleys. Its curves are both functional and symbolic — a meeting of earth, fire, and ancestral memory.
